These Are The Wombles

They live on Wimbledon Common, and spend their days clearing up rubbish left by humans, which they then recycle.I was a devoted fan back in the '70's...with books, toys, and even a couple of LP's....now I may well be the only person in the world to find the video below remotely funny...but I don't care!!!

That had me rolling around on the floor - for once, not suffering from the Vincet d'Onofrio *Clunk* Effect - but with laughter. You and I must be about the same age. I was a huge Wombles fan.

The bit - "Unc-le BULGAAAARIA!" with the shots of Deakins looking sort of wise and grey were just hysterical.

Which one is Goren? Tomsk?

And please tell me Eames is NOT Madame Cholet.

As long as you put lots of pictures of Vincent on, I don't care what music you play.

Very cute, I am not familiar with the Wombles, but they remind me a bit of Fraggle Rock, anyone remember them? Thank you Eliza, for the lovely Dec 5th Advent pic of VDO in water. WOOOOOF!!! Oh, and also thanks for the Valentino post. more WOOF!

Priceless - and the first note of 'A Wombling Merry Christmas' (a classic of it's kind of course)that passes my lips, I shall blame entirely on YOU (before banging my head against a wall)

;0)

I found it funny, since I do know the Wombles and I also know Fraggle Rock too ( Fraggle Rock was done by Jim Henson though)The Wombles was a britsh TV childrens show it used to show in the morning if I recall. Anyway I like the references and the video Eliza, I think I commented at Youtube. well done.
