Probability

With apologies to Wally (Mark Linn-Baker) for cutting him out..he's undoubtedly one of the best guests they ever had on LOCI :-)

I don't remember if I ever mentioned this, but this has been bugging me since the episode first aired...why smash the window in the door if you are going to reach in and open it without touching the lock? It could be that doors in the US open differently I guess, but I think it's just a blooper they missed :-p

Wow! Good catch, Eliza! I'm sure our dear American Vixens can answer the 'door question'.

The door of MY apartment is easy to open. I just mention this for the case that Bobby reads this post.

One of the houses we lived in the front door was like that. to get in from outside you had to use the key but inside if it was unlocked you could just open it with the handle. I had to be very careful to put a catch either up or down, can't remember which, or I would be looked out.had to get G. home from work many a time to get me into the house!! In the end we hid a key in the front garden!!

I'm quite sure ALL of my 'locks'would spontaneously burst open for Bobby ;0)

Also, the deadbolt wasn't engaged. The locks on our doors are the same (locked from the outside but can be opened from the inside)....that's why we don't have windows in the doors!

I've had locks like that too, and locked myself out!! Maybe the issue here is why they'd put a window in a door that HAS a lock like that - not very safe. But then how would our boy break in? Mmmmmm, break in, sounds good to me.

Really good catch there! You are right, they didn't undo the deadbolt.
