Unedited Christmas Cake

I now spend two months regularly feeding it with brandy..then attempt to ice it. First time I've ever made our cake, my mother is the 'chef' in the family, although as descendants of a master baker it should run in the blood, right?

looks good enuf 2 eat - yummy. I've never made a christmas cake, but rum's my preference for a rich fruit cake... burp!

Wait, I'm confused. You made the cake and then spend months soaking it in alcohol? Do you freeze it and then take it out in December? What's in it?

Do you use that brandy icing?
