With some new software I had to install. My laptop had a meltdown and wiped Windows from the hard drive...the recovery discs I had oh-so-diligently made decided they were full of errors too so I've had to install Linux for now. It works well, but none of my software is compatible so I've been trying other things..so far so good :-)

I do a back-up of my system every Sunday to my external hard drive, yet, if there's a problem and I want to 'roll back (computer) time', Windows will tell me there is no back-up on the external drive, even though I can clearly see the folder that says 'BACK UP' and all the dates the back ups have been made....

I'm afraid I would be doomed if anything like that happened to me. I just started backing up my stuff maybe a month ago.
