There Was An Article

About the Chelsea Hotel in the paper on Saturday..which I only read because I recognised it from the film. Just wish I understood the film as well as I understood the article :-)

I'm embarrased to say I can't even recall VDO's name in this film. Did he have a name? The article on the Chelsea Hotel was quite nice & interesting.

I saw the article too. Although I didn't like the film (apart from the bits Vincent was in!), it seems a shame that the hotel may be closed down/pulled down.

His name was Frank, Maui.

Which I had to look up on my list...

Beautiful collage of a very sweet character! It is kind of a confusing movie -- very slice-of-life, I think. Here is the link to the article I saw: http://wishididntknow.com/2011/08/20/no-more-artists-will-live-or-die-here-historic-hotel-chelsea-closes-after-a-century-of-history/

It was a wretched and boring film but for Vincent's all too short scenes.

I only cared about Vincent's goatee!

I can dig the starving artist vibe, since I dated one for 6 years, and knew people like the mvie characters, but im still not sure if I liked it or not. But, for $2, I bought it on Amazon :)

Now me I really like Chelsea Walls. One, is because I'd had actually been there(misspent youth) and because I recognized a lot of different people from my past in the characters in the film. Believe me it wasn't all bad.
