Had to be put to sleep yesterday after she was involved in an accident with a car....I'm going to miss her more than I can say,but I think she had a happy life..I hope she knew how loved she was. When we first got her she was tiny, and so terrified that she wouldn't come out of the cat carrier..I spent hours sat under the kitchen table getting her used to me before she eventually came out..Lucky was only a couple of weeks older than Sammy and they formed a strong alliance, tearing round the house together...which they were still doing only a couple of days ago, despite being 9 now and old enough to know better..

I'm so very sorry for your loss Eliza. ((hugs)) Sucks to lose a pet.
Oh Eliza! I'm so sad to hear about Sammy. It's tragic to lose a beloved pet, they really are part of the family. And I have NO doubt that Sammy knew just how much she was loved, animals can sense that and you know Sammy did. Eliza, you are a wonderful Mom, to your children and your pets.
Although I'm not a big cat lover, I can still appreciate the love of an animal. Growing up on a farm. baby lambs and calves were very special to me and I had names for all my "pets".
RIP Sammy, I KNOW he had a happy life with you.
I'm sure she had the most wonderful life with you Eliza...
Oh, no, poor Sammy. And poor Eliza. Lucky will be finding it strange too. I can see there will be lots of mutual comforting and hugs.
So sorry about SAmmy. I'm glad the two of you were able to share the love.
