E-Bay....

These two pictures are currently up for sale on E-bay,the Abbie one complete with watermark, the Cholo one with the mark partially cut off. Now,anyone who visits this blog,or my photobucket albums,or my website, knows I don't sell pictures,I just leave them for everyone to save,or print or whatever else you want to do with them.As you can(hopefully) imagine,I'm ever so slightly pissed about this, although it seems there isn't much I can actually do to stop it.Any suggestions as to what I should do would be welcome..I guess I'm naive, but it never occcured to me that someone would use my stuff to make money

HOW DARE THEY!! *madashell*

I think you should notify eBay about this and see if they can do anything about this seller using your photos. Hopefully they can stop this from happening somehow, friend.

I agree with Lisa. Definitely contact eBay and let them know she's taken them off your site, watermark and all. eBay frowns upon this type of behavior, so maybe they'll get her to stop selling your pix. Either that, or she'll cut off the watermarks completely. I do know that eBay will prohibit someone from selling if they are doing something unethical.

I'd like to ask that missie WTF is that auction for? Is it for charity?
And who ever gave her permission to use other people's work?
And who authorises her so called "auction"??
And WTF is with that price? 5 bucks for a piece of paper??

Can you tell that I'm pissed? And have I mentioned that I want to smack her face??

WHAT?!?!??!?! That's just crap, Eliza. Absolutely contact eBay ASAP. There are a lot of unscrupulous people out there, just out to make a buck off others.

Eliza, I went and checked out this 'persons' other merchandise, and I don't think these are the only photos of yours she has used... I think I even saw some very similar to Val's too... *cursing*

This just makes me sick! I hope you get her and that eBay kicks her off!!

so she took your pics from your photobucket album and has put them up for sale on ebay? no way!? do you know who she is?

There has to be a way to stop this. Disclaimer or no disclaimer. She is stealing caps you made and trying to make a profit. She was also stupid enough to leave the watermark on that one!!! I am really hoping no one bids for it. Hopefully they see the price is horrible and see the water mark and go I am not buying a pick with a watermark on it!!

Also this gives me an idea though. Evil laugh.

Sorry that was me, I was so mad I forgot how to spell.

I just want to say...SHAME ON THEM! Most of us wouldn't have started blogging if it hadn't been for you and your generosity, and now some troll comes along and steals from you. Contact ebay Eliza.

Eliza, you can contact eBay directly or contact the seller directly. Explain to the seller what you've explained here and ask her/him to remove the photo or you will contact eBay. Sellers don't like to be contacted by the head honchos at eBay.

One more thing. I just checked the seller and, actually, I used to buy a lot of photos from her. She really is a nice person, or seemed to be, but I always wondered where she got her photos. She's a bit pricey, too. That is why I decided I wanted to learn how to screen cap and upgrade my computer and printer, so I can print my Bobby pictures to my heart's content. She is reasonable, however, and will -- I'm sure -- remove the photos if you ask her.

These are not just candid shots of Vincent that the photographer decided to sell or images people bought off the web and then sold later, these are your copyrighted work which took you time to do, then mark and then share but you never intended to let them be sold! I suggest you do what everyone is saying, Angie Larson had this problem too contact Ebay about this and let them deal with the individual involved.

Back again, I saw that the seller has an email addy, you should email her-she obviously doesn't give a fig about watermarks or she removes them ( I see Jens DVD signing photo there as well!!!)when she has hot linked them from your sites/blogs-she is advertising them falsely as she says they are set pics, they are not, except for some images being candid/mag shots she is selling people screenshots of him-talk to her or Ebay love.

That is just wrong, man!!!

Well, everybody's already said it. So, all I'm gonna say is Can you imagine how much money YOU could be making with your brilliant caps and designs/ collages, E?

Good grief I had no idea .. there are even stills from "Untethered" on there - I didn't think that episode had even aired yet???

SO WRONG!!! I agree with everyone here, let ebay know, don't let them get away with it!

complain to ebay and if you like I will too. I'm sure all your blogging friends would if you wanted. Your talent and generousity should not be abused in this way.Just say the word and I'm right behind you.

BLOODY CHEEKY BLIGHTER!

Ok, this is so controversial!
This is taken from the last Highlander movie, I took the curiosity to read it all and copy it for you here:

"ALL MATERIAL IS PROTECTED BY THE COPYRIGHT LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES AND ALL COUNTRIES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. ALL RIGHT RESERVED. LIONS GATE IS THE AUTHOR OF THIS MOTION PICTURE FOR THE PURPOSES OF COPYRIGHT AND OTHER LAWS. ANY UNAUTHORISED DISTRIBUTION OR COPYING OF THIS FILM, OR ANY PART THEREOF, INCLUDING SOUNDTRACK, IS AN INFRINGEMENT OF THE COPYRIGHT AND WILL SUBJECT THE INFRINGER TO SEVERE AND CRIMINAL PENALTIES."

In my humble opinion, screen captures are also included here. So nobody who takes screencaps can really say that they hold the copyrights for them. Please don't get me wrong on this, I do love all of your screencaps and I do RESPECT all of your work, I for instance don't think I could do it, it takes a lot of time and patience that I don't have.
I do understand it can be annoying for somebody to copy your screencaps and post them on their personal websites, blos, etc. It's wrong for them to take your work for granted. But I guess it's something you could pass by because after all, LEGALLY they don't really belong to you either. I think Eliza knows that, and I think this is the reason her caps were free for the public.

But this particular case is different because this lady not only took Eliza's screencaps, but she organises AUCTIONS with them!!
Now I don't know much about auctions, but I always thought they were supposed to have a charitable meaning. Auctions are made for hungry children, AIDS, researches, etc... NOT FOR A PERSON'S OWN POCKET!!!
That's what is wrong in this picture!

I hope all you screencappers there don't hate me for I said, I'm NOT against you. This is simply my oppinion.
And this has been the longest comment in the history of all comments I ever made, so... I'll just go and shut the hell up now.

That's exactly it Madi! Eliza isn't selling her stuff to us, so it's not illegal to share. It's like I can make a mix tape and give it to you, but I can't sell it to you because I'm violating the rights of the bands and/or singers.

So this person on eBay has no right to sell caps done by anyone, because ultimately, the images belong to the producers of the TV show or movies.

Nope, I saw more than these with your watermark on Eliza AND she's also selling Jenn's lovely NBC signing pic. The cheek of it!!!!Madi is quite right of course. Legally, we're not supposed to make screencaps at all - doesn't apply to Jenn's photo of course; she was the photographer!! - but to think someone is taking what's been made freely available to make money is disgraceful.
Problem is Ebay don't give a s**t! When that 'nice' person stole all thereels photo stock a while back(which since then has resulted in them now locking and watermarking theirs)they tried repeatedly to get someone to remove the sale, but Ebay were not interested.

Let's just hope no one buys them!

I want her address and to go and rip them out of her computer, cheeky bitch. What you said is all true, Madi. No-one has the right to sell them, not even Eliza (though she never even tried), only keeps us happily supplied with V-loveliness, but Jenn's are her own work and property, and this COW needs sorting.

I just went over and left some messages in her guestbook. She may not like them. I've also made my P/bucket private (apparently it gets 187,000 hits a month!) She has a lot to answer for.
