When I Made This

A month ago it was in celebration of Bobby..it still is I guess, but it feels different, and watching it last night made me sad rather than happy. How quickly things change :-(

*more tears and wailing*

I'll be the first to confess, I'm not dealing too well with the situation at the moment...If Vincent was leaving by his own choice, I'd cope (eventually!), but from everything that's been published, it definitely sounds like he's virtually being thrown off his own show. That USA are also using this 'opportunity' to 'rid' themselves of Kate (and Eric!) must be a killer-thought for Vincent. Having said that, I LOVE that clearly Vincent and Kate have each other's backs, just like their fictional counter-parts. I say again, shame on you USA!!

ANd the music is called Goodbye. Sob.

Do they not realise exactly what and who they are saying goodbye to - like the majority of the audience, for example?

Lovely video (as always) but, I feel like the earth has be shifted off it's axis......words can't express all my feelings. The only consolation is that I know others share my "grief" and disbelief.

I agree with Diane. If the show was canceled, I'd be sad - but would be happy that Vincent was moving on to what he loved.

But this has left such a bad taste in my mouth - I just can't seem to move on. It seems to be the focus of my thoughts constantly since Thursday night.

This is the best Bobby's tribute I've ever seen!!! Yes, things change but frankly I didn't thought that would be changed in this way...

Passing on news from the LOCI-USA boards....

"Though the Nielsen ratings will be the true test, I say that those who want to send a message to key NBCU executives should do so. In fact I urge you to write, for yourselves as well as the actors. If enough people (and that is, thousands) take immediate action I don't think the effort will be wasted.

Bonnie Hammer
President
NBCU Cable Entertainment and Universal Cable Productions

Snail mail address:
3000 West Alameda Avenue
Burbank, CA 91523-0002

I suggest a short, well-composed postcard (or multiple postcards) rather than letters. Clearly state your displeasure with the decision to dump Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe and your request that the decision be reversed. Three good, focused sentences will more likely be taken seriously than a lot of scribble. Try to stay polite. Don't make threats; don't say anything bad about Jeff Goldblum. Definitely spell and grammar check before sending; and write legibly (or use a printer).

A huge pile of postcards is likely to have more impact than e-mail but you can also try:

bonnie.hammer@nbcuni.com

You might also send the same message to her immediate USA subordinate Jeff Gaspin, same snail mail address, and jeff.gaspin@nbcuni.com.

And don't delay. Do it on Monday if not today. Also, if you post on other CI or VDO boards, you would do well to pass this information on ASAP. If Vincent D'Onofrio really has as many steadfast fans as everyone here thinks, a strong, grassroots effort should be fairly easy to mobilize.

Seriously...WTF is this network thinking? I guess they want the show to go down the drain like E.R. did...what butt-heads.
